Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Natalie.

I'm a wife, proud mom of three, U.S. Army veteran, and the founder of The Au Pair Matchmaker.

After serving more than a decade in the United States Army, I learned the importance of integrity, communication, organization, and making thoughtful decisions under pressure. Those experiences continue to shape the way I approach every family and au pair I work with today.

Beyond my military background, I have a passion for psychology and understanding people, which I have studied over a decade. Studying human behavior has deepened my appreciation for how personalities, communication styles, family values, and expectations all play a role in creating successful, lasting relationships. I believe finding the right au pair, or the right host family, is about so much more than matching experience or checking boxes.

My passion for this work became personal when my own family welcomed an au pair into our home. I experienced firsthand the excitement, uncertainty, and joy that comes with opening your home to someone from another culture. I also realized how overwhelming the process can feel without the right guidance.

That's why I created The Au Pair Matchmaker.

My mission is simple: to make the matching process personal, thoughtful, and enjoyable for both host families and au pairs. I take the time to understand the people behind the profiles because the best matches are built on trust, compatibility, and genuine connection.
